It will also prepare us to complete Journal 3, part As noted in the introduction, culture is more than ethnicity, language, dress, food, holidays, and visible aspects. Culture embraces the shared behaviors, values and beliefs of a group, it is dynamic and is passed down from generation to generation.Cultural competency involves knowing yourself, knowing others, celebrating similarities, recognizing differences, and negotiating those differences in mutually satisfying ways. Cultural Equity involves practices that support all cultures.
