The second journal entry is to help you practice making notes about your observations.  You are to walk about the space you have chosen, taking notes.  You are to describe your route, how you are defining the space you have chosen (borders, people, social interactions) etc. How do your direct observations run counter to the representation of the space you wrote about for journal one?  What is left out or added to those representations? This is also a good opportunity to find visit your space and figure out whom you wish to interview for your oral history/life history journal entry.
