The kids started school this week, I must drop them off and pick them up, help with homework, and we are in the final for my school; at work, there is extra work for me because we are missing one person on my team. This week had been challenging, and at some point, of the week, I feel burnout. Zastrow mentioned in the book; Burnout involves loss of concern for the people with whom one is working; in my case, I am working for my family, my employer, and my studies. I was feeling physically exhausted, and I started getting irritated quickly. Then I reconsider the situation; I take a walk and think about how I will deal with everything that I have on my plate. I shake myself and start prioritizing; I created a to-do list. Another thing that helps me relax is listening to music while I work; it allows me to concentrate and work faster. This is not the first time that I have had a lot to deal with, but also, I have learned a lot in time management, which had helped me cover everything, family, work, and my studies.Even though I have some time now dealing with family, work, and my studies, sometimes I just feel overwhelming; this is when I step down for a little bit and take a deep breath, reflex on what my goal is and keep working hard.
