You can choose a pressing media law issue due to your interests in the topics covered by the course, i.e. ethical coverage of children, hate speech, protection of journalistic sources, defamatory statements, fact-checking, etc. You are expected to prepare 1500-2200 word paper, in which you should summarize between 3-5 journalistic pieces of your choice(articles, movies, videos, visual stories)by providing examples of both ethical and legally compiled coverage of the chosen topic and examples of misconduct by analyzing why and how the standards weren’t applied.
